Eric Whitacre was born on January 2, 1970. He is a american composer of choral, wind band and electronic music. He has composed such songs as Cloudburst and Lux Aurumque. When i was in choir in high school about 3 years ago we got to sing a song that he composed. The song name was called Cloudburst and it is one of my favorite pieces from him.  When i want to listen to music to relax i listen to him.

    Dear Mr. Whitacre,

My name is Jenny Roesner, and I am a senior music education major at the University of Houston. This fall I will be constructing an undergraduate conducting choral recital in order to fulfill my Honors College thesis. I will be choosing music composed by living North American composers. I would like to interview each composer in order to add a personal slant on the required program notes. After the interviewing process, I will compose my program notes, rehearse two choirs, and present the music and written research in a conducting lecture recital at the end of the fall 2008 semester. I am writing in order to ask if you would be willing to interview either over the phone or e-mail. Please let me know if you are interested or not by e-mailing me at jcroesner@gmail.com. Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to working with you on this exciting project.

    Sincerely,
    Jenny Roesner
