The Last Airbender

Yesterday my husband, our next door neighbor and I went and saw the movie The Last Airbender. Ever since I saw the trailer I was excited to see this movie. I was a little worried about it, only because of the director of it. I mean don’t get me wrong, M. Night Shyamalan has made some good movies and some not so good movies. Also I love watching the animated series on TV and was hoping they stick to the story.

When decided that we were going to watch it in 3D because thanks to a glitch the tickets were only seven dollars instead of the regular price of ten dollars. If you have not seen the movie, DO NOT go see it in 3D, it is not worth the money. There really isn’t any 3D scenes in it except the beginning of the movie. It was one of those movies it was shot in 2D and then converted into 3D. I thought the story was really good and I knew everything that was going to happen. One of my main problems with the movie were the people they choose for the parts. I think they should of changed the prince of the fire nation and the brother and sister. I thought they did not look like the characters at all in the TV series. With everything else I thought it was awesome. The action scenes were really good, just wish with the 3D version it was a little better.

I would highly recommend people go out and see this movie, and kids will love this movie. Especially if they watch the TV series. I can’t wait for the next one to come out!

Summer is here!!

Summer is here and time for the family to go out and go to the beach. I love the summer, just not the heat. Since my son is now a little older I can take him to more places and he can more fun. The only problem in the summer is the Canadian soliders also known as may flys. Where ever there is a light, there is thousands of them. The more that are there, the healthier the lake is. They stay on the wall until they die. We visited my husbands grandma and there were so many that the grass was black in some places. So around this time of the year watch out for the bugs while playing with your kids.

Game Banter: Gaming through the years

I am back with this months question for Game Banter. It has been a while but I am glad I am back writing. This months question is ” What was the game that made you a gamer?”

I have been playing games ever since I was young. If I had to think about what games got me into gaming, there are a few. There are only two that really got me into it. The first one is Zelda: A Link To The Past. I remember going over to my step dads for the weekend and would play it all the time. I loved it and is still one of my favorite games. At that time, I was kinda into games but not really a “gamer.” You can say it kinda kick started my love for games.

Then years went by and I fell in love with another game. That game was Diablo 2. My step daddy Steve showed me this game and I loved it from the first minute. We had two computers right next to each other, so that we could play together. We also helped each other level up and did cow runs together. As soon as I got home we would get on the computer and play Diablo. It was a great time for us to bond and do something that we both love to do. We would alwasys have a blast playing games together. Thanks to him I love playing video games and can’t wait to show my son video games when he gets older.

This post was part of Gamer Banter, a monthly video game discussion coordinated by Terry at Game Couch. If you’re interested in being part, please email him for details.

Awaken from the dead……

It has been a long time since I have wrote anything on my blog. My son who is now a very active one year old has taken up all my time and by the time I get some quiet time I am to tired to write anything. This past year has been really great to me while I have been living here in Ohio. Since I have been up here I have gotten married to the love of my life and watched my family grow stronger. I have build a strong relationship with my husbands side of the family and will be really sad when we have to leave them all and go back to Florida.

Now I am motivating myself to start writing on here. I love the writing about stuff I love and I love reading the comments everyone writes to me. So I am going to start writing a few posts a week, and hopefully increase it to one everyday. I know how my son has been growing and everything that has been going on, I know I will have a lot of stuff to write about.

In the next week I will have a lot more to write about……..
See you then…

Seven Pounds

If I had to pick my favorite movie for the year so far, I would have to pick Seven Pounds. This has to be one of my favoite movies of all time. It is a sad movie towards the end, but it’s really good. I loved the story line and all the characters. They picked the right people to play them. I don’t really want to explain the movie, because I don’t want to give away any of the movie. For those who have not seen the movie, I sugegst you go out and see it.  It is one of those movies where you don’t really get the movie, until the end of the movie. It mad me cry at the end and that is saying a lot cuz it takes a lot for me to cry while watching a movie.
